Disputes and arbitration

Effective resolution of disputes requires more than knowledge of the legal rules. It means understanding the business background of the dispute, identifying the risks in good time and a clear, considered strategy directed at protecting the client’s interests.

We represent clients in complex court and arbitration proceedings in various areas of law, with particular experience in disputes in construction, commercial law and employment law. We approach each matter individually, with a thorough analysis of the facts, the contractual documents and the available evidence, and with regard to the legal, financial and reputational effects of the dispute.

We have particular experience in construction disputes arising from the carrying out of works and the delivery of construction projects, including disputes connected with contractual obligations, time limits, additional and unforeseen works, defects, the accounting of works carried out and the liability of the participants in the project. In construction we also represent clients in arbitration proceedings.

The aim is not to pursue a dispute at any cost, but to achieve the best possible result for the client. We therefore also look at each matter from a business perspective and, depending on the assessed risks, the costs and the prospects of success, we recommend negotiation, settlement or a determined conduct of the proceedings.
